I am looking forward to more insights. You have not mentioned Platinum and I am interested to know why. Is it that Gold and Silver are more well known.  I have been personally collecting Platinum for several years. And I have watched as the premiums have gone up and up. My gold that I bought has more than doubled!!!!! And my silver has gone up 5-6 times its value.. This is basic precious metals. Not bringing into the picture any collectable or premium value bullion coins or rounds.

The main precious metals to collect for a diversified portfolio are the accumulation of gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. Platinum as another main precious metal for collectors and investors is a very good hold. As platinum first of all is 15 times more rarer than gold. In addition, we seek value and platinum is one that gives us that store of value since the 1980's when it first started getting recognized. The four core segments that uses platinum are the automotive industry which uses between 36%-43% of platinum, second there is the industrial component which uses roughly 21%-26%, third it is the jewellery sector which uses 26%-35%, and finally, for investment purposes which ranges from 0%-15%. So in my opinion, the value is there and will be needed for generations to come, as they find more uses for the precious metal platinum, it will go up in price and premiums as it will become more scarce as demand would grow overall. That is the outlook and assumption as of now.

Don't forget Platinum is used under the sea in a connectors.
Platinum does not corroded, and provides a layer of protection on electronic devices used for marine observation.
Oh and fun fact. Palladium is used as crucibles in the medical, scientific, and professional sectors.
