How can I buy Platinum without selling my liver?

I'd like to buy platinum (£800 an ounce spot), but once you account for spread and VAT it jumps to £1,107.00:

Because of this I trade platinum via the stock market buying an ETF instead:

Sell someone else's liver @21C Bullion . Maybe don't mention it to them beforehand, and stipulate that the purchaser is responsible for harvesting it. lol!

Personally I am suspicious of Platinum. I only buy in 1/10 th fractional versions. Britannia's only really. The reason is it helps add another metal to my profile. And I have a goal this year to build up more into my collection.

I am always looking for a exit for my metals if needs be. I do not Vault any Platinum yet. I will wail until I have a certain amount then Vault it. But for now it is happy to live hidden amongst my silver.

I'd quite like to buy a 1oz platinum coin, but the VAT just kills it for me. Same with silver TBH... I used to buy 10oz silver coins but VAT stopped me in my tracks.

You are aware that coming in effect soon will be a cap ( or whip ) on gold. Anything over £6,000 will be subject to capital gains tax if buying and selling. This is a lot less than the previous £30,000 threshold.

I'm aware the CGT threshold is due to drop. All my collection is UK currency so I believe that will remain CGT free?
Even If it wasn't all UK RM coins, unfortunately for me, my stack is too modest an amount to trouble any new threshold. Sad

Don't put yourself down. I have to worry because I use a vaulting service that does all those calculations. I get a bill every quarter. I keep depositing every 6 months or so my bullion to them and it gets added.

But I will be affected for sure. UNLESS I take out all of mine and don't declare anything. After all it is only at the point of sale I am led to believe.
