It's a dirty job but somebody's got to do it.

I was a bit skeptical of the coin as well - I'm not a big fan of coloured coins at the best of times. But, it's come out ok and looks quite good if you give it the right lighting. It's not Durga or Knights 2021 but it's a pretty nice design when you get it up close.

Just because I can, here are some pics of the 2021 and 2022 knights.  The 2023 one should arrive later in the week, so perhaps I should put up a photo essay of all three once I've had the opportunity to get some shots of it -

The first was what got me into Germania - I saw Backyard Bullion's video on it.

Sneak preview - test shot with an idea for lighting I had for doing the whole set when the 2023s arrive.

The text is a bit more legible, but overall I prefer the first version. The image seems to me to have more depth.

I have been holding onto the 2023 for a while now. LOL

This one uses softer lighting - the other photos were very contrasty.  I think this type of lighting does a better job of showing the detail at the expense of highlighting the coin's lustre.
