How far to go Empty How far to go

Fri Dec 03, 2021 6:42 pm
When is enough enough regarding stacking/collecting silver , I’m only on around 50oz which is probably laughable on this and other forums.
I’ve taken the view that money is worthless in the banks with interest rates beinglower than low thing on a low day.
The way it’s going if I could sell a coin I buy now and make a couple of quid in a year I’d be happy 😊
Bit shallow I know , but I’m in it for the long run before exit so who’s knows .

How far to go Empty Re: How far to go

I bought Silver at £11 pounds a oz.

I remember when it dropped to £14 before.

People panic and I just loved it and bought as much as I could afford without putting it on credit. I prefer to pay upfront than to use a credit card. If I sold my stack ( yes a lot more than 50 oz ) I could easily sell each oz for a minimum of £23-£24 a oz.

And I would make a lot of money back. And guess what Your on your way to success, Have you missed that money that you spent on Silver? Can you see and enjoy your money? I meant silver?
And those 50oz I bet you could sell in a heart beat for a minimum of above if not more depending on your pieces. So you wont loose out especially if you look after them, and are in it for the long run. My ISA is making me a pathetic amount its not even 1% and my savings is a joke for interest. So Bullion is the way to go. I still have physical Cash at hand and I have bank accounts where I transfer funds. But Bullion you can sell and get the money very quick. But its a little bit harder and makes you stop and think. Do I really want a new car.. hmmm

I agree let some other mug lose the VAT and depreciation and get a low mileage bargain .

Wow £11 an oz I’d have sold a kidney and made a killing lol. I’ve not missed a penny of what I’ve spent it’s money I would have blown on another watch that would have depreciated in value .
What’s the ideal quantity of silver to be holding as security for the future , probably a speculative question and linked to personal circumstances.

How far to go Dscf2111

I too love my watches. I tend to only buy older and vintage Rolex manual winding ones like the oyster date and precision or Date Just.
Got to love watches, But the prices sky rocked and I can not pick them up anymore for 300-£400 sadly.

I think having enough of Gold or Silver in physical amounts should be what people can afford. I do not see holding onto them forever. I have plans to give my children all the bullion, This will cover the costs of my death and what ever they need in life.

I dont think they will sell it either but it is there and if it is £30 a oz when they are older than great. They have been stacking LIKE it or NOT since they were born. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

But they carry on. My eldest son has about 100oz. and my youngest is catching up quickly. But that said they get 2 oz a year from me. And the rest they buy from the Vault of dad for Spot prices. This includes premium coins. I know I am soft. This is why I buy a lot of kids stuff. It keeps them interested and I am just happy they are wanting and willing to put pocket money into bullion.

My boys know they are saving up for a House, and Land. Both have dreams of buying property in the country. Be it America or UK they are not fussed. They really are focused on goals in life that will make them financially stable later on. Which is great.
