Re: Y'all are a bit Quiet
Me too, since last Thursday. Ended up at emergency ENT clinic yesterday. Feel rubbish and they don't know what the problem is. I am a coward and refused a nasal endoscopy (had that before, 12 years ago, and the hideously terrifying memory remains with me). If they'd offered sedation, I might have been braver yesterday, but no.
I'm going back to bed now.
Get well soon @Admin

Arent we all a bunch of diseased ridden folk?
Bondie, I am with you. I do not understand how anyone can put things up their noses willingly. NOPE not for me either. I am sneezing, coughing, snotty, headache, sore throat, did I mention Snotty! I used more tissues than can be produced LOL
Back to bed for me.... Get well both of YOU.

No matter how bad you feel, one of my jokes can make you feel worse.

Take a hip flask filled with something you don't need a mixer for. By the end of the day you will just glow with goodwill towards everybody there. Better still, take two hip flasks, or a camel pack.tray wrote:Well we have Star wars in London next week and we're working some of it. Enjoy the Star Wars event too. And if you're taking a hipper, make sure it's filled with a decent single malt like Glenmorangie, Jura or similar. What do you think @denby??
Hope you're feeling better @The Cat's Mother and @Admin. I'm back to the doc tomorrow

Re: Y'all are a bit Quiet
Well I pushed myself to do a video today, and I have a whole heap of things I want and should do. Some will show up on the forum later. I have been busy but never far from a tissue box at the minute. I am feeling a bit better today. My chest is no longer making sounds of demons I slayed. My nose is running faster than I could ever do! But hey I had a bit of a sleep, which felt nice.

@denby I'm not sure what to say, haha! What a boy you are
Got on well at doc's. Developed a lump on neck the other night which rather freaked me out (not seen anything like it before). Doc thinks I have swollen lymph nodes, caused by the upper respiratory tract infection and larynx infection he's diagnosed. He also rather comfortingly stated that the nasal endoscopy wouldn't have helped, so I am planning to refuse the one ENT have planned for me in a few weeks, and I may not go to the review appointment at all, ha! A rebel or what? Hoping antibiotics kick in soon.
Take care everyone and keep stocking up on Kleenex.

If the antibiotics don't work then Don't be worried about nasal scope it's tiny and very quick

Bondie wrote:Thanks @tray ... unfortunately I've had a couple of the scopes before and they hurt me like billy-o! Perhaps I am sensitive in that department, or perhaps you are a very brave soldier. If the latter, I am very impressed!
Being Grown ups here.... the problem is trying to have you swallow and move your epiglottis so that they can get into your trachea. That is where the pain is. Most of the pain receptors will be in your mouth, and throat. After the flappy bit that separates your air and food, IE the epiglottis. the pain receptors are almost nil. Although you might have some discomfort that makes you cough.
I hope the Antibiotics works though.
