Hello All from Florida

Hello to you too, and a very warm welcome to the forum. I hope you enjoy your time here, and make friends. When you get a moment, tell us a bit about yourself (we are very nosy) but in the meantime have a look around and explore all the various topics and posts.

I am an old guy who retired to Florida from N. Y. back in 1990. Stated to collect coins back in 2000 to 2010 and stopped. I am into silver this year 2023.I have bought many high relief coins which is my thing. Gold is out of my class . The wife and have been hitting some coin shows down here in Florida.

Sounds good. Do you like the various rounds put out by the US private mints?

I have looked at some with their name brand but I just got turned off on a silver 1 oz. that was to have a rams head and received a coin that
was new but you could not see the ram without a magnifier glass. They would not take it back and wanted me to send them a photo. I will not say were i got it form it is one of the mints you will see on line. How they scam you with the photo on line and send you junk.

That must have been very disappointing, and behaviour like that gives others a bad name. I'm a big fan of the Intaglio Mint and some of the Silver Shield rounds, although the political stuff doesn't appeal to me at all. Rounds like the Egyptian Gods series are superb, and I'm also collecting the Seven Ancient Wonders (only one to go now) and the Medieval Legends (two to go). I was collecting the Mason Mint Mythical Cities, but they seem to have ground to a halt after two issues - Atlantis and Asgard. Lots to look at.

Welcome to you hopefully you have a better experience next time you buy. There are a lot of crooks out there.

The easiest way to upload a picture from your computer is to press the 'insert picture' icon when starting a post or thread. The 'select tab' will appear and you press that. Choose the photo and hit open. Go to the 'red arrow' and tab that. A white 'insert all' tab will appear. Click that tab and your picture will be uploaded. You can play with that feature to get used to it.

Easy peasy, if I can do it anyone can. Go into your profile, click on 'avatar' on the top line, and follow the instructions. There's a whole library to choose from if you haven't got a favourite photo of your own to use.
