Hi guys, how’s everyone doing?
Quick question. I had ordered my first lot of gold bars directly from the royal mint website at the start of the month - was just wondering how long it usually takes for it to be delivered roughly.

Depends if it's in stock. Normally get it within the week, if it's a new item it can take weeks. The Queen's memorial sovereign took over 10 weeks to be delivered to meTheFrenchDog wrote:Hi guys, how’s everyone doing?

The new Tudor beast proof was released a few weeks ago. Still waiting for that to turn up

Ahh well that explains it then. It was new Britannias so yeah as you said will probably take a while. Thanks for your reply. Hopefully your Tudor beast appears soon

Hope you shopped around. I find the Royal Mint to be too expensive. Chards, Atkinsons, Hattons, Tavex are usually cheaper and have reliable customer service. Especially Tavex who even ring you to say it’s posted.

Yeah because it was my first time buying gold I just went for the name that I had heard of. Since buying I’ve don’t a lot more research and realised that there is other cost effective options. Also noticed a few posts in here regarding quality issues with Royal mint? I’m planning on buying some more in a few days, so when I buy again I’ll be sure to try out one of your suggestions. Thanks for your help.

I use Chards, Britannia and billion by post and mostly Martin Silver trader for silver

You both have gave me plenty of options. I have seen Martins name mentioned a few times in the threads. How is purchasing done is it through a website? I am planning on collecting silver coins so I’m sure Martin would come in handy.

Yes use Martin's website, he regularly post his list once a month. Great prices and very quick delivery
